For my audio piece I wanted it to fully be an exterpience the listener could feel like they could fully get lost in. I aimed for it to be both entertaining and also comment on the solitude of morning spend by yourself and then going back to bed. From being in quarantine I have found a lot of time being spent inside in my own room. Every morning seems to be the same experience over and over again. I experimented with clips from the “everyday experience” and manipulated them into a narrative setting. In addition to my personal influences on this piece, I strived to copy the comments and concepts in the readings that question what art is, and is not. To make the listener question if the sounds produced from someone’s morning routine could be art or not. From this experience it can be quite peaceful yet unfulfilling to be by yourself. And on that note, my overall themes from this piece are solitude, loneliness and intimate experiences. Especially at at the beginning and end, where the breathing clip repeats, representing being present with oneself through these moments and self acceptance
